Product Description

1. Composition:

   • Carbon : 0.5-0.6%
   • Silicon (Si): 0.1-0.4%
   • Manganese (Mn): 0.6-0.9%
   • Nickel (Ni): 1.5-1.8%
   • Chromium (Cr): 0.8-1.2%
   • Molybdenum (Mo): 0.35-0.55%
   • Vanadium (V): 0.05-0.15%

2. Properties:

   • Hardness: DB6 exhibits a standard hardness of 370 to 410 HB (Brinell Hardness) when annealed or 355 to 400 HB when quenched and tempered.
   • Toughness: It offers good toughness, making it suitable for various applications.
   • Applications: DB6 is commonly used for spindles, forming rolls, punches, blanking and forming dies, trimmer dies, clutch parts, bearings, and more.

3. Heat Treatment:

   • Hardening: Heat to the appropriate temperature and quench.
   • Tempering: Achieve the desired hardness after tempering.

4. Mechanical Properties:

   • Tensile Strength: 1000-1400 MPa
   • Yield Strength: 1045 MPa
   • Elongation: 15%-20%
   • Impact Toughness: 20 J/cm - 25 J/cm
   • Compressive Strength: 2500 MPa
   • Modulus of Elasticity: 205 GPa
